Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Ross C. Murray graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1982, and then went on to graduate from the University of Alberta with a Law Degree in 1985. From 1985 to 1986, Ross articled with the law firm of Lefsrud Cunningham Law and upon completion was called to the Alberta Bar in 1986. After articling, Ross decided to stay with Lefsrud Cunningham Law and was an associate from 1986 to 1989.
In 1989, Ross decided to spread his wings and moved to Ontario, where he was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1990. During his time in Ontario, Ross was an associate with the law firm of Anderson Sinclair from 1990 to 1991 who had offices in Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton.
Ross has been working with Mr. Jake Chadi, since February of 1992, when Chadi & Company was founded. Since being with Chadi & Company, he has specialized in practising Plaintiff Personal Injury Law. In addition to being part of our Edmonton office, Ross ran our Calgary Office from 1992 to 1997.
Ross has resolved numerous motor vehicle accidents, fatality claims and slip and fall accidents.
He has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta and has successfully appeared in front of the Alberta Court of Appeal, acting for the Appellant, and for the Respondent. He has attended numerous Judicial Dispute Resolutions, Mediations, and Settlement Conferences, with respect to Motor Vehicle Collisions. He has resolved numerous Personal Injury cases with Adjusters and with Defense Counsel in Alberta and has also settled numerous injury cases in British Columbia.
Ross has been a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA) for the past 20 years and has attended numerous seminars, put on by the ACTLA.
In 2013, Ross was awarded the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA) President’s Award. Ross has honed his skills as an effective negotiator, as an effective communicator, and as an effective advocate for his clients.
In his free time, when he is not enjoying life with his wife and children, Ross enjoys golf, curling, travelling, and has been a member of the YMCA since 1992.
