Mr. Chadi is proud to say he was born and raised in Lac La Biche, Alberta. He moved to Edmonton to pursue his post-secondary education at the University of Alberta. Upon obtaining his Bachelor of Arts and graduating with Distinction, Mr. Chadi enrolled in the Faculty of Law and obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 1990.

Mr. Chadi was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1991 and shortly thereafter founded Chadi & Company. Mr. Chadi has also been a member of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories since 2005.

For over three decades, Mr. Chadi has been advocating relentlessly for his clients. His tireless work ethic led to his owning and operating of 3 separate offices across the Province (Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray).

In his early years, Mr. Chadi’s practice focused primarily on personal injury claims. Although he found great joy in taking on the big guy (insurance companies) on behalf of his clients, he found himself drawn to litigation and eventually shifted his attention to criminal defence. Since then, Mr. Chadi has been recognized as one of Canada’s most successful and well-respected criminal defence lawyers.

Mr. Chadi is particularly renowned in the area of drug offences and has been repeatedly asked to speak at conferences on organized crime, criminal conspiracies, proceeds of crime, money laundering and also constitutional law; such as the law relating to arbitrary arrest and unlawful search and seizure.

Mr. Chadi’s expertise has allowed him the opportunity to be defence counsel on some of Canada’s largest drug prosecutions and he has represented clients across the entire country.

His expertise, though, is not limited to drug-related offences. Throughout his career, Mr. Chadi has represented clients charged with a wide array of criminal offences, including some of the most notorious cases in Canadian history. He has established significant legal precedents that are routinely applied and interpreted by the Court and members of the bar.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Chadi’s success has allowed him the privilege and honour of being a big supporter of the Edmonton community. Over the years, his philanthropy has reached countless Albertans through several non-profit and charitable organizations, including most notably, the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Mr. Chadi is also an avid hockey fan and enjoys spending time on the ice with his family when he isn’t in the office.
