Born and raised as a proud Edmontonian, Lidia obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (with Distinction) in 2000, followed by her Bachelor of Laws in 2003, from the University of Alberta. Shortly after graduating, Lidia commenced her articles with Chadi and Company wherein she gained experience in all areas of law, however, it wasn’t long before she found her true calling, Family Law.
Since being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2004, Lidia has successfully advocated for her clients on a variety of family law issues including but not limited to: divorce and common law separation, parenting, child and spousal support (including the imputation of income), as well as matrimonial and/or common law property division. Over the course of her legal career, Lidia has accumulated a breadth of experience in both the Provincial and Queen’s Bench Courts of Alberta and has strived to stay current with the ever-evolving law on family law issues in order to deliver the best representation to her clients.
Lidia is known amongst her colleagues, peers, and clients as a skilled lawyer who possesses strong advocacy skills and impeccable attention to detail. While Lidia thrives in the Courtroom, she simultaneously acknowledges and understands that certain cases may not require a litigatory approach. In those cases, Lidia aims to utilize alternative modes of dispute resolution to minimize both cost and emotional stress for her clients. Lidia’s vast experience in negotiation and mediation has resulted in favourable settlements for her clients, all without setting foot in the courtroom. Lidia prides herself on tailoring a unique and individualized approach to each file she takes on in order to ensure that the client’s best interests remain paramount.
